One of China’s top universities and one of the country’s oldest, Zhejiang University (ZJU) has its roots in the establishment of the Qiushi Academy in 1897.

The University, which is situated in Hangzhou, one of China’s most beautiful towns, is divided into seven faculties and 39 schools. 4,383 faculty members work there full-time, including 31 members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and 30 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Over 53% of the 63,136 full-time students at ZJU are graduate students.
